We may also retain anonymized data indefinitely.
5. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it immediately. Please contact founders@contrario.ai if you believe a child has provided us with personal data.

8. Google User Data - Access, Use, Storage & Sharing
Transparency Notice: This section comprehensively discloses how the Contrario Sourcing Extension and Contrario's Services access, use, store, and share Google user data, in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
8.1 What Google User Data We Access
When you authenticate with Google or authorize integrations, we may access the following Google user data:
Basic profile information: Your Google account name, email address, and profile picture, obtained through Google OAuth 2.0 sign-in.
Gmail data: If you authorize access, we may read, compose, and send emails on your behalf for recruiting-related communications (e.g., candidate outreach, scheduling). We access only the Gmail data necessary to perform the actions you initiate within our Service.
Google Calendar data: If you authorize access, we read and sync interview times from your Google Calendar to help keep candidate tracking centralized within the Contrario platform. We may also create calendar events to facilitate interview scheduling and recruiting coordination.
8.2 How We Use Google User Data
We use Google user data exclusively to provide and improve the user-facing features of our Service:
Authentication: To verify your identity and sign you in securely.
Personalization: To display your name and profile picture within the Extension and Service interface.
Email functionality: To enable you to send and manage recruiting-related emails directly from the Contrario platform, as initiated by you.
Calendar functionality: To read and sync interview times so that candidate tracking stays centralized, and to enable you to schedule interviews and view availability without switching between applications.
Account association: To link your sourcing activity with your authenticated Contrario account.
We do NOT use Google user data for: serving advertisements (including targeted, personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising), selling to data brokers, providing to information resellers, determining credit-worthiness, lending purposes, creating unrelated databases, or training AI/ML models.
8.3 How We Store Google User Data
Google user data is stored on secure, encrypted servers hosted by industry-leading cloud infrastructure providers.All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL and encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
Access to stored Google user data is restricted to authorized Contrario personnel on a strict need-to-know basis.
OAuth authentication tokens are stored securely and are never exposed to unauthorized third parties.
8.4 How We Share Google User Data
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade Google user data to any third party.
We do not share Google user data with third parties except as strictly necessary to provide or maintain our Service's core functionality (e.g., cloud hosting providers that process data on our behalf under binding data processing agreements).
We do not transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties for purposes unrelated to providing or improving user-facing features of our Service.
We may disclose Google user data only if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process (e.g., court order or government request).
8.5 Google User Data Retention & Deletion
Account data: Google user data is retained for the duration of your active Contrario account. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize all associated Google user data within 30 days, unless retention is required by applicable law.
Authentication tokens: OAuth tokens are retained only while your account is active. Tokens are revoked and deleted upon account deletion or when you disconnect the Extension from your Google account.
Email & calendar data: We do not permanently store the full contents of your Gmail messages or calendar events on our servers beyond what is necessary for the Service's active functionality (e.g., caching for display and syncing interview times). When you revoke access, cached data is deleted promptly.
How to revoke access or request deletion: You may revoke the Contrario Sourcing Extension's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions page. You may also request deletion of your data by emailing founders@contrario.ai.
8.6 Data Protection for Google User Data
Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between the Extension, your browser, and our servers is protected using TLS/SSL protocols.
Encryption at rest: All stored Google user data is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
Access controls: Only authorized personnel with a legitimate business need may access Google user data.
Infrastructure security: Our servers are hosted on cloud platforms that maintain SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other recognized security certifications.
Regular reviews: We periodically review our data collection, storage, and processing practices to ensure continued security and compliance.
9. Google API Services - Limited Use Disclosure
The Contrario Sourcing Extension's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, we confirm that:
We only use access to Google user data to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the Extension's and Service's user interface.
We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless: (a) we have the user's express affirmative consent, (b) it is necessary for security purposes (e.g., investigating abuse), (c) it is necessary to comply with applicable law, or (d) the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
We do not use or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
We do not sell Google user data to any third party.
We do not use or transfer Google user data for determining credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
We do not use Google user data to build or populate databases unrelated to the Service, or to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
10. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by posting an update on our site, emailing you, or using another communication method. Your continued use of the Services means you accept the revised policy.
