Our founding story
We’re Arya and Aditya, co-founders of Contrario. We started after becoming recruiters ourselves and feeling the pain firsthand. Our early placements ran on WhatsApp threads, emailed PDFs, and messy spreadsheets.
We kept asking a simple question: why is recruiting still so manual? Contrario grew out of that frustration: a platform where recruiters can do their best work, supported by modern software and AI tools that improve placement rates and help companies hire faster.

Stanford BS (left MS early). Previously built an edtech startup to six-figure ARR, worked in product dev at BCG, and conducted research at Stanford HCI.
Aditya Sood
CTO & Co-Founder
Stanford AI dropout. Led NLP at NASA, published AI research in defense tech, researcher at Stanford AI Laboratory (SAIL) x Anthropic lab.
