Customer Referral Program Terms

These terms cover Contrario’s Customer Referral Program, which is open to existing Contrario customers. Questions? Email founders@contrario.ai.

1. How to refer

Reply to our referral email and CC the founder or hiring lead you’d like to introduce, or send them to contrario.ai/referral. We’ll take it from there.

2. Cash rewards

We wire you a cash reward once your referral signs, meaning they have a signed contract with Contrario and at least one active role. Rewards are based on the referred company’s stage: $1,000 for Series B and later, $500 for Series A, and $250 for pre-seed to Seed.

3. Hire credits

Every time a company you referred makes a hire through Contrario, you earn 1% off the placement fee on your next hire with us (for example, a 20% fee becomes 19%). Your credits are applied automatically to that hire, then start again from zero. Credits don’t expire; they wait until your next hire with Contrario.

4. Example

Your next hire has a $150,000 salary and a 20% fee ($30,000). Since your last hire, your referrals have made 5 hires, so you have 5% in credits. Your fee drops to 15% ($22,500), and you save $7,500.

5. Free hires

A hire is free once your credits match your fee rate. With a 20% fee, that’s 20 hires by companies you referred. Anything over carries over to the hire after.
